Huntsville International Airport (HSV) is the largest commercial airport in North Alabama, serving more than 1.4 million passengers each year. With a capacity of 4,500 parking spaces across a six-level deck and multiple surface lots, HSV is dedicated to providing a seamless travel experience for its customers.
The Challenge
Despite its reputation for convenience and easy navigation, HSV faced significant challenges with its parking management system. The existing deck count system experienced significant issues which the vendor was unable to remedy, leaving the airport without any real-time data to guide passengers. With approximately 307,000 parking transactions processed annually, the lack of reliable parking information not only affected customer satisfaction but also hindered operational efficiency. The existing vendor’s unreliability further exacerbated these issues, prompting the airport to seek a more efficient upgraded solution.
