Our survey established that people don’t think there’s enough spots to park in and that they’re wasting significant chunks of time searching for parking spaces.
But are they willing to do something about it?
Our third question on the Omnibus survey of 1,000 randomly selected drivers asked how likely participants would be to use an app to help them find parking at their destination. An overwhelming majority (70%) of drivers said they would be open and interested in using parking apps.
Parking apps can be integrated with parking counting systems such as OpenSpace to display parking availability in real-time. Knowing how full a lot is before leaving to their destination can help drivers make more informed, better planned decisions about parking. This knowledge can help alleviate stress and eliminate wasted time.
With the clear data that a great number of frustrated drivers are unable to find somewhere to park and willing and ready to use parking apps to guide them to available parking, what does that mean for parking lot managers, owners, and operators?
How can that knowledge help you to maximize your lot, fill your spaces, and provide a better customer experience?
